Damn I miss North American Plumbing!

Exactly as headlined. I'm getitng tired of trying to match up my cold water with my hot. They don't use open plumbing over here. It's all closed system, which means there is an individual hot and cold water knob for each sink. That means you first must turn on the hot water, then turn on the cold water to try and equalize the temperature. Open system plumbing is where you have a lever tyle faucet where you jack the lver upwards and you get both hot and cold water at the same time. All you do is move the lever left or right to equalize the temperature. Much more convenient, and modern way of doing it.

For those of you that don't know, drying machines are not common here either. We don't have one, 80% of the houses don't have a drying machine. Hang dry the tye dye.

I'll Take the High Road....

A note on Londons Geography: Most stations outside Londons Zone 1 (thats Central City) are like little commercial pockets with all sorts of shops. They call this the "High Street". And literally, that is the name on the sign post. It's interesting because all High Streets will contain one or more of a locksmith, hair salon, drug store, pub, convenience store, kebab house. The lockstation really is imperitive, every station will have one around the corner somewhere for sure. It's just an interesting observation.
